The 15th annual LithoVision technical symposium, which focused on “Solutions for an Application-driven World,” featured an excellent lineup of speakers, extremely informative talks and was lauded for having one of the best agendas ever among our technical programs. The 2018 event theme served to highlight lithography challenges and solutions for a multitude of applications.
Returning to the City National Civic in downtown San Jose, CA, the annual symposium was held prior to the start of the SPIE Advanced Lithography conference. The successful event featured expert presenters from GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Intel, Seagate Technology, KLA-Tencor, Qoniac, IC Knowledge LLC, Applied Materials, and Nikon. The in-depth afternoon session examined Materials-Enabled Patterning, A Chipmaker View of Recent Developments in Lithography, and Simulation and Analysis of Stochastic Effects in EUV Lithography, as well as other areas of critical importance to the IC industry. A presentation by an expert from Seagate Technology highlighted the unique lithography hurdles and innovations for the hard disk drive market, while a Nikon speaker emphasized ways the broad Nikon product portfolio is meeting the needs of many diverse lithography applications. The evening event wrapped up with a poster session and an enjoyable reception in the lobby of the historic City National Civic auditorium.
This year's technical session was considered one of the best among our LithoVision programs, and feedback from the symposium attendee survey was extremely positive. Hamid Zarringhalam, Executive Vice President of Nikon Precision said, “As we mark our 15th annual LithoVision symposium, we reflect on the excellent opportunity this event offers for our customers and industry partners to come together and share insights on what drives the technological advancements necessary to propel our industry for the next 15 years.” LithoVision is consistently praised for the great technical content and prestigious presenter line-up, and this year’s 15th annual celebration was no exception!
